With vote on the inclusion of rugby 7s Olympic games Pakistan rugby is keen to see a strong  national 7s program the asian rugby football union starting a Asian 7s circuit PRU is participating in the Sri lanka 7s championship to be held in Colombo in November .

a month long camp has been set up for 7s training in Lahore with emphasis on fitness and the specialized skills rqired for the fast pased 7s game

rugby 7s is similar to 2020  in cricket and is one of the faster growing sport in the world as well as Asia it is part of the Asian games in Doha 2005 and will be part of the commonwealth games  to be held in dheli India in 2010.

the team is being trained by rizwan maik the national team coach who has over 30 years of inter national rugby experience including having worked closely with the fijian 7s team in hong kong one of the best 7s programs in the world.
