Pakistan national teams preparation for the Asian championship got a big boost with the first Pre selection game Day

The associations departments and club  had forwarded names of 80 players after there own selection processes and trials games that took place acrross the country

On a overcast day at DHA rugby stadium  the 80 player were separated in to 3 teams
-Orange
-White
-Red

it was a full day of rugby with each team playing 2 games the selection committee headed by national team coach Mr rizwan malik watched from the side line 

he appreciated that players come from the widest base of teams and it was good to see that each spot on the final squad will be keenly contested

players  came from Punjab ,Sind , Baluchistan , NWFP , Lums university , Islamabad rugby association , Bahria university , Paksitan Police , Pakistan Army , Karachi RFC , Lahore RFC and Islambad RFC.

PRU is initially going to hold  three such trial game days before selecting 30 players
to make the squad that will go into intensive training for preparation leading up to the
Asian championship

Pakistan is playing in the toughest group yet in DIV II which the test matches will be
Played in Kuala Lumpur and pakistan will compete in Division II  from 3-6 June  the first match will be against  China, who were relegated from Division I last year, and hosts Malaysia meeting India on day one.
